Description
Gollygo’s Korowai (unisex cloak) is inspired from the traditional Maori costume worn by the Otatara Cultural Club.
The design depicts New Zealand’s national bird, the Kiwi, and is surrounded by the Niho-Taniwha pattern (the dragon’s teeth) and the three baskets of knowledge.
Gollygo has consent of Baden Batt, the living designer, to use these motifs.
This replica Maori Girls or Boys Korowai Cloak is ideal worn over the top of the Kapa Haka costume.
The cloak is adorned with woollen tassels. The ends are held together with a comfortable band of elastic.
