The white parts are composite wood covered in a white laminate which has a slight sparkly effect on it, the grey outer parts are plastic.
 

Please note: this kitchen comes with extended panels at the back for safety purposes so that if children hide in the cupboard the breath-holes will allow air to come in as the kitchen is not directly against the wall. These extended panels are not depicted in the current assembly manual.
Also note there is no longer a turntable in the microwave oven & no latch on the microwave door.

The girls in the last image are ages 8 months & 2 years old.

Comes flat packed in a plain cardboard box.
